Undergraduate Summer Research at Dartmouth (iSURF)

The Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (iSURF) program provides a ~10 week summer research experience for undergraduate students. This full-time, immersion experience is designed for students who wish to acquire skills and knowledge that can be directly applied towards research careers and/or graduate studies in the biomedical sciences. It provides not only opportunities to learn research skills and techniques, but also strategies for applying to graduate school and discussions of career options. In addition, as part of the New Hampshire Idea Network for Biomedical Research Excellence (NH-INBRE) program, students will participate in the state-wide NH-INBRE annual meeting, and through their poster and/or oral presentations, as well as their participation in journal clubs and discussion groups throughout the summer, will improve their ability to critically evaluate, present, and discuss research.
